Some weddings stay with you long after the gallery is delivered, and Midori & Joe’s wedding at Waupoos Estates Winery is one of those days for me.

Set against the beautiful waterfront views of Prince Edward County on September 21st, 2024, their wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, stunning scenery, and the kind of love that makes everyone around them feel at home.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding day. It was a celebration surrounded by family, friends, and one very special four-legged guest.

One of my favourite parts of the morning was watching Midori and Joe get ready in the same guest house on the winery grounds. They carefully coordinated their morning to avoid crossing paths before the ceremony, creating a mix of excitement and anticipation that made their first moments together later in the day even more meaningful.

The entire day felt relaxed and intentional. Midori looked absolutely stunning in her Made with Love gown, while Joe’s deep green suit perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the winery and the early hints of autumn beginning to appear throughout the property.

Their ceremony took place overlooking Lake Ontario beneath a beautiful greenery-covered arch. The waterfront setting provided an incredible backdrop, but what truly made the ceremony memorable were the people surrounding them. Their families were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to celebrate this next chapter alongside them.

One of the sweetest moments of the day involved their dog, who proudly made an appearance during the ceremony. It was such a personal touch and a perfect reflection of the life Midori and Joe have built together. Later, we took time for portraits with their pup around the winery grounds, and those images remain some of my favourites from the day.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour among the vineyards and waterfront views while Midori and Joe soaked in those first moments as newlyweds.

The winery grounds provided endless beautiful backdrops for portraits, from the vineyard rows to the lakeside dock where they exchanged their vows.

The evening continued under a beautifully decorated tent filled with heartfelt speeches, meaningful conversations, and the relaxed atmosphere that made the entire day feel so genuine. Every part of the celebration felt intentional and centred around what mattered most: bringing together the people they love.

Even now, Midori and Joe’s wedding remains one of my personal favourites. Not because of the stunning venue, though it certainly didn’t hurt, but because of who they are. They are two of the kindest, most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet, and their wedding day reflected that in every possible way.

Midori & Joe, thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day. It was truly an honour to be a small part of your story.
